This is a spiritual and devotional podcast site featuring Rev. Ron Thomas that presents biblically-based teaching to encourage Christians in their faith journey. This site is for those who may be struggling in their faith walk with Christ and have a desire for renewed spiritual growth. Rev. Thomas is a former military chaplain of 22 years experience and has assisted many individuals in spiritual growth, how to grow through traumatic situations, and gave support to many military members who experienced mental health difficulties. Time to Examine Asbury and Jesus Revolution Revivals Part 1

Whether coincidence or Providence, it has to be wondered how the Asbury Revival and the release of the Jesus Revolution movie occurred in such near proximity. But both of these have been out in front of us enough now to take a closer examination of the authenticity and effect they may be having on the religious and secular world around us. The book of 1 John 4:1 commands "...do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see if they are from God..." (CSB). The warnings about false prophets and their ability to deceive are clear throughout both testaments in Scripture. In our day of ecumenism, spiritual ignorance, and idolatry, Christians must maintain knowledge of whether or not a revival is a true work of the Holy Spirit. This episode of 2Days Denarius is the fist part of 2 that will explore this issue. It's a fascinating journey that includes evaluation, edification, and encouragement to help us navigate and stay on a straight path on our faith journey. The Asbury Revival is a recent event but the Jesus Movement, as portrayed in the Jesus Revolution movie, began in the mid to late 1960s throughout the 1970s. But both have impact today, especially the Jesus Movement. These two episodes will cover much of that.
